Our Resources
The holdings of the North Cumberland Historical Society have been collected for over 50 years and consist largely of donated materials.

Family Files - This collection is over 50 years old and contains letters, family trees, newspaper clippings of interest, obituaries - a real potpourri of material. (Click here to see a list of our family files).

Family Binders and Books - Often families have "published" their years of research. We have about 50 binders or books and they are included in our list of family files on this website.

Library - We have an extensive library of written material on genealogy and historical subjects related to North Cumberland. (Click here to see the list of books available to purchase).

Picture File - Thousands of photos have been organized to provide an easy to find collection.

Cemetery File - All known cemeteries of North Cumberland county have been photographed. There is an index and many of the stones have been connected to the obituary of the person.

Obituaries - We have been collecting and indexing the obituaries for a number of years. (Click here to see a list of the obituaries that we have as 2017).
