The following are available for this area:

  • family files - this collection is over 50 years old and contains letters, family trees, newspaper clippings of interest, obituaries - a real pot pourri of material.  (to see list of files click on family files)

  • family binders and books - often families have "published" their years of research.  We have about 50 binders or books.  (to see list of files click on family files)

  • library - we have an extensive library of local materials.  Many of them are for sale. (to see list of  books to purchase, click on publications)

  • picture file - thousands of photos have been organized to provide an easy to find collection.

  • cemetery file - all known cemeteries of North Cumberland county have been photographed.  There is an index and many of the stones have been connected to the obituary of the person.

  • obituary file - we have been collecting and indexing the obituaries for a number of years.

  • historical files - 50 years of clippings and stories of historical significance to our area

  • school roll books

  • ledgers

  • Bibles - some family bibles are available

  • maps - a fairly extensive collection of historical maps from the area.  (to see list of relevant land grant maps, click on land grants)

  • special collections - we have the Oxford Journal from 19  to 20; the Pagweak year books (some years missing); Nova Scotia genealogy magazine

  • models - Margaret E. King school

  • audiotapes - a collection of interviews taped over the years with anecdotes, personal stories and remembrances
