The North Cumberland Historical Society is collecting photos and recording the histories of homes, barns, and outbuildings built in Pugwash and the communities of North Cumberland. Our area has a rich history of built heritage with buildings dating back as far as the early 1800s. The ‘Built Heritage Project’ is an on-going inventory of buildings that were built before 1960 and are still in use, abandoned, or that used to exist in the areas served by the NCHS. This project was made possible by seed funding from Douglas
