What we do
The objectives of the North Cumberland
Historical Society are as follows:
to collect, archive, publish, and make available historical and genealogical information of the North Cumberland area to the public.
to provide a research facility for genealogists, historians, and other researchers.
The society has a collection of family files,
research reference materials, maps, ledgers,
roll books, charts, and photos.
If your roots are in the North Cumberland region of Nova Scotia, we may have genealogy information that can help you. A volunteer will make that material available to you if you come in, or answer your specific questions if you are writing us from away. Don't be surprised if we ask you to share your material with us in return!!
Have a question or an interest? If we can't find the answer in our material, we can usually find a person who has the information you require. Have some history or stories to share? Tell us and we can put them on facebook or on our website.
